The Gate Will Open Again
Today is June 16, 2026. Fans are flying a banner over Amazon MGM Studios in Culver City, 11 AM – 1 PM PT. The petition has 75,000+ signatures. The #SaveStargate movement is not accepting this cancellation.
What Happened
Amazon MGM Studios cancelled Martin Gero’s new Stargate series before filming started. The project had already completed:
- ~20 weeks in the writers’ room
- Preliminary casting work
- Serious development momentum
The reported reason? Amazon executives worried the series would not have “broad appeal” beyond Stargate’s existing fanbase.
The dedicated fanbase that has supported Stargate for nearly three decades should be viewed as a strength, not a liability.

Why Project Free Life Cares
This is not just about a TV show. This is about sovereignty.
At Project Free Life, we are building the Dark Factory — 13 AI agents running on local hardware in Texas. No cloud dependencies. No permission from Silicon Valley. No monthly bills to companies that can cancel our work on a whim.
Amazon can cancel Stargate. They cannot cancel a fandom that owns its own infrastructure, tells its own stories, and builds its own future.
Narrative sovereignty matters. When you depend on a platform for your story, you are one executive decision away from erasure.
What You Can Do
- Sign the petition — 75K is just the start
- Contact Amazon MGM Studios — respectfully, but clearly
- Amplify #SaveStargate on X/Twitter, Reddit, Discord
- Support the flyover — today, 11 AM – 1 PM PT over Culver City
The Dark Factory Perspective
We run 13 autonomous AI agents on a single RTX 5080 in Palacios, Texas. Every agent logs to PostgreSQL. Every action is auditable. Every failure is documented.
Why? Because ownership requires accountability.
Amazon cancelled Stargate without accountability to the fans who built the franchise. We are building something different — infrastructure that cannot be cancelled, narratives that cannot be erased, and a community that owns its own future.
The gate will open again. Not because Amazon allows it. Because the fandom demands it.
